Golden sticks: Presenting 2019 All-Main Line boys lacrosse teams

Malvern Prep, Haverford School, Conestoga and Radnor led the way on the Main Line high school boys’ lacrosse scene this spring.
Conestoga (21-4) captured the PIAA District 1 3A title and the Central League championship, and was PIAA 3A state runner-up. Radnor (18-7) was a PIAA 2A state semifinalist.
Malvern Prep (17-5) captured its second consecutive Inter-Ac title, defeating Haverford School (17-5) in overtime to clinch the title, in the final game of John Nostrant’s legendary 28-year coaching career with the Fords. Episcopal Academy (12-7) also was a force in the Inter-Ac.
Shipley (12-6) was one of the eight teams that competed in the 2019 National Prep Championship; and Archbishop Carroll (13-8) compiled a solid record.
The All-Main Line high school boys’ lacrosse teams are selected by the coaches. Because Main Line Media News covers 19 high schools, the Main Line Media News sports staff limits the number of sports available to first team, second team and honorable mention – but follows the priority of the coaches’ selections.
