Kelly’s three-hit effort leads O’Hara over Conwell-Egan
Joe Kelly went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs in Cardinal O’Hara’s 10-0 win over Conwell-Egan.
Cole Sprague smacked a triple and knocked in two runs for the Lions (7-2, 5-1). Bryan Pazulski threw two innings with three strikeouts to earn the win. Thomas Kane and Joe Sperone combined for three innings of spotless relief.
Neumann-Goretti 1, Bonner & Prendergast 0 >> Eric Lachette pitched 6.1 solid innings, giving up one unearned run while fanning seven, but the Friars’ bats couldn’t come alive. The Saints managed only one hit off Lachette and reliever Stephen DiBattista.
Nate Furman roped a single and a double at the top of the lineup for Bonner, which fell to 5-2.
Haverford School 10, Upper Darby 0 >> Sam Chase pitched four two-hit innings with 10 strikeouts as the Fords (12-4) thumped the Royals in five. Connor Brala had two hits and Jesse Goldman knocked in a pair of runs. Calvin Costner went 1-for-2 with a double, walk, run scored and an RBI.
Max Peters had a double for Upper Darby.
In the Ches-Mont League:
Henderson 4, Sun Valley 2 >> Evan Fooks went 3-for-3 with a home run, but the Vanguards’ rally in the seventh inning fell short. Anthony Ellis collected a pair of knocks and Kenny Jensen had an RBI single.
In nonleague play:
Shipley 8, Delco Christian 5 >> Penn Schmidt blasted a home run, but the Knights committed three errors and gave up four runs over the final two innings.
