Handal composes an easy win for Episcopal Academy

Isabel Handal won the 100 and 200 freestyle Friday in guiding Episcopal Academy to a 104-74 Inter-Ac League win over Baldwin.

Handal also took part in the winning 200 free relay for the Churchwomen, who swept all 11 races. Emma Lunn won the 100 butterfly and swam on all three winning relays. Alina Klaeh won the 50 free to go with two relays wins, and Madeleine Ott finished strong by taking the 100 breast before anchoring the winning 400 free relay. Kat Harrar was the high scorer in diving with 233.33 points.

In the Ches-Mont League:

Sun Valley 105, Oxford 73 >> Madison Koons swept the distance events, Madison Mazon claimed the 100 free and 100 backstroke and Nicole Ferraccio was tops in the 100 fly and 200 individual medley for the Vanguards.

Boys Swimming

Jimmy Wynes’ win in diving kicked off a stellar back half for Sun Valley in a 109-49 win over Oxford Friday.

Andrew Cerami won the 100 free and 100 back. David Crowell claimed the 500, and Nick Fursman keyed a 1-2-3 finish in the 100 breast.
