Reporter Girls Basketball Roundup: North Penn tops Pennridge; Souderton, GA keep rolling
After leading 27-26 at halftime, North Penn outscored Pennridge 14-5 in the third quarter and the Knights went on to snap a three-game losing streak with a 56-46 Suburban One League Continental Conference victory Tuesday night.
Julia Kreider, Evelyn Loughery and Emilee Cramer all scored 12 points to lead the Rams (7-7, 1-5), who lost their fourth straight. The win improves North Penn to 6-6 (3-3).
Souderton 53, Quakertown 8 >> Souderton held Quakertown to just two points in each quarter as the Indians rolled to their 11th win in a row.
Olivia Schneider and Mikaela Reese each finished with 10 points to pace Souderton (12-1, 6-0 SOL Continental), which had 12 players register at least a point. Quakertown (2-10, 0-5) lost its second straight.
Germantown Academy 78, Agnes Irwin 44 >> Rachel Balzer recorded 18 points, six rebounds and six assists as Germantown Academy led 28-7 after the first quarter en route to an Inter-Ac victory.
Ellie Stauffer finished with 17 points and seven rebounds while Sarah DiLello added 10 points for the Patriots (17-0, 4-0). Maddie Burns collected five points and 10 rebounds.
Mary Grace Miller led Agnes Irwin (3-10, 0-4) with 14 points while Katie Anderson had 13 points.
