Forrester goes off for 30 as Upper Darby wins in Delaware
Jasmine Forrester found the trip to Delaware decidedly to her liking Thursday.
Forrester poured in a game-high 30 points and found time to add six assists and five steals as Upper Darby topped Hodgson Vo-Tech, 53-40, at the Dragon Winter Classic in Glasgow.
Gabby Liberio and Natalie Koskinas added eight points each for the Royals (4-1).
In the Ches-Mont League:
Oxford 42, Sun Valley 33 >> Abby Seasock scored 10 points, and Erin Michael added eight, but Oxford, behind 19 points from Anna Hampshire, pulled away in a game that was tied at half.
In nonleague action:
Notre Dame 55, Bishop Shanahan 35 >> Mandy McGurk drained a game-high 21 points as the Irish led 16-2 after one quarter and never looked back. Maggie Pina added 11 points, Allie Lynch chipped in nine points and 10 members of the Irish scored in a game that Notre Dame led by 26 at half.
Chester Charter School for the Arts 56, New Foundations Charter 32 >> Logan Handy poured in 12 of her game-high 28 points to go with five rebounds, four assists and three steals in the win. Ceyrah Williams scored 15 points plus six steals and four blocks, keying a 14-0 run to start the fourth quarter for the Sabers (5-1).
Hill School 57, Episcopal Academy 46 >> Amanda Purcell scored 17 points and Raeleen Keffer-Scharpf added 10, but the Churchwomen (3-5) were done in by 26 points from Olivia Matto.
Nazareth Academy 52, Sacred Heart 44 >> Kyra Quigley scored 17 points, but the Lions couldn’t protect a 10-point lead after one quarter. Kayleigh Doyle tossed in 10 points for Sacred Heart.
Kennett 55, Interboro 19 >> Madison Diehl and Jill Bucci scored five points each for the Bucs (0-6).
