Reporter Girls Volleyball Roundup: Souderton tops Pennridge; CB West, PW clinch shares of SOL conference titles

Bella Mazzeo made 20 digs, Jordyn Peacock posted 10 kills, 4 blocks, two digs and an ace and Souderton girls volleyball team did what it needed to do to help solidify a spot in the District 1-4A tournament by topping Pennridge 3-1 (25-21, 16-25, 26-24, 31-29) in their Suburban One League American Conference match Wednesday.

Maya Hanson had 33 assists, nine digs and two aces while Hana Ekecs finished with 15 digs and five kills for the Indians (14-8, 13-5 conference), who snapped a two-match losing streak in their regular-season finale.

Amelia Hanson had 14 digs and six kills while Erin Brady recorded seven kills, three blocks an assist and a dig for Big Red, which sits 20th in the district rankings with 24 teams qualifying for the 4A postseason.

Central Bucks West 3, Neshaminy 0 >> Amanda Mass finished with 11 kills, three digs, two blocks and an ace while Grace Manganelli had 15 digs and a pair of aces as Central Bucks West clinched at least a share of the SOL National Conference title with a 25-18, 25-22, 25-17 win over Neshaminy on Senior Night.

Ana Claricurzio collected 15 assists, seven digs, a kill and an ace for the Bucks (17-4, 15-3 conference), who claimed their first SOL title since claiming the outright Continental Conference crown in 2012.

Mackenzie Brooks added eight digs, four kills, two aces and a block for West while Sammy Powers had five kills and three blocks.

Plymouth Whitemarsh 3, Cheltenham 0 >> Sophia Repholz made 10 digs, Gillian Conner had six kills, five aces and two digs and Plymouth Whitemarsh swept Cheltenham (25-11, 25-8, 25-9) to earn a split of the SOL American Conference title with Hatboro-Horsham.

Aja Smith posted seven kills and  a dig for the Colonials (18-2, 17-1 conference) with Megan Peuser chipping in five kills and two digs.

Germantown Academy 3, George School 0 >> Natalie Schildt recorded 19 kills, 10 aces and two aces as Germantown Academy swept George School 25-14, 25-10, 25-13 for a non-league victory.

Shannon Topley handed out 23 assists and served four aces for the Patriots (5-9, 1-5 Inter-Ac). Mackenzie Smith had three kills, four aces and a dig, Becca Booth made four kills and Kelli Ramer registered four digs and two aces.
