Garnet Valley wins third straight Central League title
Emma Rokosky and Dolce Whitwell filled up the stat sheet as Garnet Valley topped Strath Haven, 3-0, to finish undefeated in the Central League and claim the league title for the third year in a row.
Rokosky had eight kills, eight digs and four aces, while Whitewll finished with six kills, four digs and three aces in the 25-14, 25-16, 25-13 victory. Ally Hartney and Sam Mann combined for 10 kills. Gwen Clark contributed three kills, six digs and three aces. Rachel Cain set the offense in motion with 29 assists. She also had five digs, one kill and one ace for the Jaguars (15-2, 11-0).
Hailey Blum paced Strath Haven with six assists, three kills and three digs. Megan Prendergast added seven digs and one ace. Ellie Fisher had 16 digs and five kills, while Gabby McGinn pitched in with five digs, three kills and one ace.
Lower Merion 3, Radnor 1 >> Josie Darrach (eight kills, three blocks) and Mary Kate Colleran (seven kills, two blocks) accounted for 20 points in the third set victory for the Raiders. Erica DiCarlo collected 21 assists, five kills and two aces, while Sammy Scannapieco recorded 21 digs in the 25-18, 25-20, 17-25, 25-17 loss for Radnor.
Conestoga 3, Upper Darby 0 >> Lexie Whitmer racked up 39 digs including No. 1,000 of her career, in the 25-15, 25-14, 25-10 loss for the Royals. Savannah Miller, Alison Ascareggi and Violet Lange led the attack with four kills each.
Haverford 3, Ridley 1 >> Melanie June had 21 digs and four aces, but the Green Raiders fell 26-24, 25-22, 14-25, 26-24. Angela April led the attack with 15 kills. She also had seven digs. Casey Tinney pitched in with 19 assists and 12 digs, while Riley Finnegan and Kara Green added 11 digs each.

Penncrest 3, Marple Newtown 0 >> Tina Balta’s 15 assists, 12 digs and five kills powered the Lions to the 25-15, 25-12, 25-13 victory. Julia Kasper added 12 kills and five digs, while Cameron Bailey (12 assists, seven digs, four aces) and Lilly Mallon (16 digs) also were key contributors for Penncrest (10-5, 8-3).
In the Catholic League:
Cardinal O’Hara 3, West Catholic 0 >> Seniors Sophie Croce (two kills), Riley Wilson (one kill), Emily Hayburn and IJ Aguocha (one kills) tallied five aces apiece as the Lions (18-1, 9-1) rolled to a 25-9, 25-5, 25-6 victory on senior night.
In the Ches-Mont League:
Bishop Shanahan 3, Sun Valley 0 >> Hannah Vickers posted 11 kills, nine assists and three blocks, but it wasn’t enough as the Vanguards fell to the undefeated Eagles, 25-18, 25-15, 26-24.
Liv Nickerson added 14 digs and six kills, while Rachel DiCarlo pitched in with eight digs for Sun Valley (16-4, 7-4).
