Reporter Boys Soccer Roundup: Pennridge shuts out LC; North Penn stays perfect
Jack Gillespie and Marco Grenda both scored twice as the Pennridge boys soccer team earned a 4-0 non-league victory over Lansdale Catholic Thursday.
Aidan Link had two assists while Nick Dunn and Bobby Brashear each chipped in an assist for the Rams (7-2-1, 3-2-1 SOL Continental). Ryan Mayhew and Matt Sheldon combined on the shutout, the third for Pennridge this season.
North Penn 3, Souderton 1 >> North Penn led 2-0 at halftime then extended its advantage to three in the second half as the Knights kept its perfect record intact, improving to 9-0-0 (6-0-0 SOL Continental).
Ali Noori scored Souderton’s goal after a corner kick with Luke Atiyeh getting the assist. Goalkeeper Mitchell Race made nine saves for the Indians (1-7-1, 1-3-1).
Central Bucks West 2, Central Bucks East 0 >> Goals by Alan Zlotin and Carson Snyder gave Central Bucks West its third straight victory.
Dylan Smith made two saves to record his eighth shutout while Reed Sturza handed out an assist for the Bucks (8-2-0, 6-1-0 SOL Continental).
Abington 3, Springfield-Montco 0 >> Abington kept it spot a the top the SOL American Conference standings as Sean Touey, Jaeden Joyce and Nevin Baer each tallied a goal to give the Galloping Ghosts (9-1-0, 6-1-0) their third straight victory.
