Reporter Girls Volleyball Roundup: CB West bests CB South in 5; PW tops Abington
Amanda Mass finished with 20 kills, three blocks and two digs as the Central Bucks West girls volleyball team outlasted Central Bucks South for a 3-2 (25-22, 26-28, 25-8, 17-25, 15-9) Suburban One League National Conference victory Tuesday night.
Ana Claricurzio had 35 assists, six aces, four digs, two kills and sealed the Bucks’ win in the fifth set with lone block of the match. Maggie Winderman added 10 digs, two aces and two assists with Mackenzie Brooks collected six kills and five aces.
Plymouth Whitemarsh 3, Abington 1 >> In a match between last season’s SOL Continental Conference co-champions, Abington took the first set but Plymouth Whitemarsh rebounded to take the next three to win 24-26, 25-14, 25-12, 25-19.
Sophie Repholz had 24 digs and four aces while Lily Acquaviva finished with 11 kills, 11 digs and an ace for the Colonials. Sydney Melillo posted 43 assists and two aces with Aja Smith adding 21 digs and 12 kills.
