Perkiomen Valley girls soccer blanks Quakertown

Perkiomen Valley 2, Quakertown 0 >> First-half goals by Ali Devers and Sydney Marasco fueled the Vikings’ non-league victory over the Panthers in their season opener.

Devers ended the early deadlock, scoring through traffic off Marasco’s corner kick. Marasco then added a goal of her own when Taylor Reiff found a pocket of space to play her into a breakaway.

Riley Hill needed to make just five saves to record the shutout.

Methacton 4, North Penn 2 >> Maggie Bordonaro hit for a hat trick and Ruby Murray scored her first career varsity goal in Methacton’s season-opening 4-2 win over North Penn.

Goalkeeper Liz Greene had 10 saves. North Penn’s two goals came via penalty kicks.

Great Valley 4, Phoenixville 1 >> Emma Gray had three goals and an assist in the Patriots’ border battle win over the Phantoms. Leeza Galli scored Phoenixville’s lone goal.
