Haverford School tennis team couldn’t be beat this spring
Haverford – The Haverford School tennis squad finished its season with a perfect 14-0 record, an Inter-Ac championship, and was the winners of the Sportsmanship Award at this year’s NEMA Invitational Tournament. The Fords finished the season with a 5-0 win against Princeton Day School, one of the top programs in central New Jersey; and swept Haddonfield Memorial High School, one of South Jersey’s top programs.
The Fords were led by the all-around games of junior John Walsh (10-1) and senior Will McDevitt (8-0). Senior Connor Lees (12-0) dominated with power from the baseline.
Haverford School tennis coach Mark Gottlieb said, “The coaching staff is extremely proud of this squad.”
