Szczesny, Perk Valley walk-off against Owen J. Roberts
Perkiomen Valley 3, Owen J. Roberts 2 >> Matt Szczesny delivered a bases-loaded walk-off single with one out in the bottom of the seventh during the Vikings’ PAC win over the Wildcats.
Dylan Boyd finished 2-for-2 with a pair of runs scored and pitched six innings where he held OJR to two runs on six hits. Austyn Levengood finished 2-for-3 with an RBI while Josh Fulmer had a hit and a run scored for the Wildcats.
Pope John Paul II 3, Phoenixville 1 >> Logan Mabry threw a two-hitter, giving up one unearned run to lead the Golden Panthers over the Phantoms.
Mike Kelly and Dan Cirino led PJP’s offense with two hits and one run scored apiece.
Upper Merion 9, Upper Perkiomen 3 >> The Indians fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a PAC Frontier Division loss to the Vikings.
Ryan McAteer earned the win for Upper Merion, going 6-1/3 innings, allowing three runs and eight hits while striking out four. Graham Kutt took the loss for Upper Perkiomen after pitching four innings, allowing four runs, nine hits, striking out one and walking one.
Upper Perk collected eight hits. Eric Schneider, Justin Wornham, and Macauley Swenk each collected multiple hits for the Tribe.
Perkiomen School 14, Renaissance Ac. 0 >> The Panthers banged out 15 hits on the way to bringing the mercy rule into effect in their Tri-County League game with Renaissance Academy.
Ian Diaz’s two-run homer was the big blow for Perkiomen (4-0, 10-1) in its five-run fifth. Back-to-back doubles by Nick Guadarrama (two RBI) and Jayden Kemp (one RBI) fueled the two-run second, and Chris Pow added an RBI double in the midst of the Panthers’ four-run fourth.
Daniel Boone 6, Reading 0 >> Connor Cleaver pitched a complete game shutout, with five strikeouts against no walks, to lead the Blazers over the Red Knights in Berks Conference play.
