Kelchner, Moore combine to no-hit Pottstown
Spring-Ford 13, Pottstown 2 >> For the second straight night, the Rams dished out a no-hitter on their way to a PAC win.
Jake Kelchner got the start and Ryne Moore went the final two frames to secure it.
Offensively, Spring-Ford racked up 16 hits as Sean McHugh (two RBIs), Mike Aquilante, Nick Price (two hits), Coy Walters (two hits, two RBIs), Nick Brauer, Tom Hughes (two hits) and Ryan Fitzpatrick each hit doubles while Quinn McKenna had a triple and a pair of runs scored.
Chris Stone took the loss for Pottstown, giving way to nine runs (eight earned) on eight hits across 2-2/3 innings of work.
Conor Larkin no-hit Upper Merion to lead the Rams’ to a 10-0 win on Wednesday night.
Perkiomen Valley 4, Phoenixville 2 >> Matt Szczesny drove in three of the Vikings’ runs to fuel their PAC victory over the Phantoms.
Brock Helverson got the pitching win for PV, which held Phoenixville scoreless until the top of the seventh. Dylan Boyd, going 2-for-3 for the Vikes, was the game’s lone player with multiple hits.
Methacton 14, Pottsgrove 2 >> The Warriors utilized an eight-run second inning on their way to a five-inning PAC win over the Falcons.
Ben Christian finished 2-for-2 with a run scored while Patrick O’Neill and Nick Wheeler each finished with two runs scored and a pair of RBIs. Josh Dubost earned the win on the mound, giving way to four hits and a pair of runs across four innings.
Dean Fiorini and Blake Strain each knocked doubles in the loss for Pottsgrove.
Upper Merion 9, Norristown 1 >> Mike Hutchinson put together a three-RBI day to key the Vikings’ PAC victory over the Eagles.
Hutchinson went 3-for-4 to help UM close out Norristown by scoring six runs in its final three at-bats. Billy Davis got the pitching win with a complete game, scattering five hits and three walks while striking out six.
Perkiomen School 16, West-Mont Christian 0 >> Josh Cruz swung the hottest bat for the Panthers as they rolled over the Wings in a four-inning Tri-County League game.
Cruz’s 4-for-4 effort featured three doubles, four RBI and four runs scored. Chris Pow, Nathaniel Urbina and Ian Diaz (double) each had pairs of RBI for Perkiomen (3-0, 9-1) while Ian Diaz, working two innings of one-hit, four-strikeout ball on the mound, got the win.
