Malvern Prep rowers make waves at 3rd Manny Flick
The Malvern Prep rowing team had some strong performances at the 3rd Manny Flick Regatta Sunday.
Unfortunately, due to the rough conditions on the Schuylkill River the Novice races were cancelled, but Thomas Park raced in the JV 1X event, finishing third in his heat.
In the Varsity races, the lightweight double of Pat Keenan and Sean Ward won their heat by 14 seconds over Conestoga.
In the Varsity 2X it was a close heat with Christian Franck and Andre Quintilianti finishing in first place, four seconds ahead of Conestoga and five seconds ahead of third place Ben Mankowski and A.J. Wirtel.
The Varsity 4x of Johnny McGlinn, Drew Brady, Casey Lauder and Walter Koch won their heat, an estimated five seconds ahead of the pack.
