Baldwin School crew makes season debut at Manny Flick #2
The Baldwin School crew team made their season debut March 26 at the second Manny Flick-Horvat Regatta, and a fast tail wind made for a quick afternoon of racing on the Schuylkill River.
The Varsity Quad of bow, Jasmine Greytok, 2, Caroline Kiser, 3, Olivia Lanchoney, stroke, Zara Wenzinger, had the performance of the day winning their heat with a time of 5:11.35. Baldwin senior captain Olivia Lanchoney said, “Our team overall had a really strong first race. We did not know what to expect given our lack of water time, but we stuck to our race plan and were successful.”
Baldwin senior captain Jasmine Greytok said, “The team can only get stronger from here on out and I am optimistic about what the rest of the season has in store for us.”
