Ray rings up 1,000th point in Haverford School’s win
Christian Ray scored 23 points, including his 1,000th as a high schooler, as The Haverford School stretched its winning streak to 13 games with a 58-44 handling of Penn Charter Friday.
Ray spent two seasons at Octorara before transferring to The Haverford School this season and reclassifying as 2019.
Kharon Randolph added 11 of his 18 points in the first quarter, and Jameer Nelson Jr. added 10 for the Fords (16-1 overall, 5-0 league), who emerge unscathed from the first turn of the Inter-Ac schedule.

Episcopal Academy 70, Springside Chestnut Hill 47 >> Nick Alikakos appears to be back to his usual self with 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Conner Delaney added 16 points and seven assists for the Churchmen (11-9, 4-1).
In the Catholic League:
Roman Catholic 54, Bonner & Prendergast 53 >> Justin Gans scored 16 points and Christian Lane 15, but a second-chance basket by Allen Bertrand (23 points) with 2.6 seconds left denied the Friars (12-3, 4-2) the victory.
Archbishop Carroll 78, West Catholic 49 >> Kyle Anderson poured in 22 points, and Khari Williams supplied 19 points and seven rebounds as the Patriots (12-3, 4-2) had their opposition doubled up at half, 48-24.
A.J. Hoggard added 12 points and seven assists.
In nonleague action:
Chichester 66, Sun Valley 46 >> DaQuan Granberry lit it up with 28 points and 10 rebounds, and James Hendricks supplied 17 points as the Eagles (4-11) notched a rivalry win.
Tyler Ungarino led Sun Valley (4-11) with 19 points.
Christian Academy 51, Baptist Regional 28 >> Jalen Sherrill led a balanced offense with 11 points and pocketed seven steals to lead the Crusaders (6-9).
Sam Geathers added nine points, and Tehron Phillips and Luke Sareyka chipped in eight apiece.
