Girls Basketball: Methacton routs Great Valley; Hill School rolls

Methacton 64, Great Valley 28 >> Never close, the Warriors routed the Patriots in non-league play, a game made-up from a middle December postponement.

Ryan DeOrio led the way with 14 points, including a 3-pointer, while Olivia Pennypacker finished with 11 points and Sydney Thompson 10 as Methacton raced out to a 31-19 lead at the half before limiting GV to nine points in the second half.

Jackie Cerchio finished with a team-best six rebounds with DeOrio adding five assists and Sydney Tornetta six steals.

Hill School 57, Baldwin 37 >> Maia Lockhart hit for a game-high 18 points to key the Blues’ non-league win over Baldwin School. 

Qiana Vigo chipped in with another 16 for The Hill, which bolted to a 34-18 lead in the first half.

West-Mont Christian 32, AIM Academy 11 >> The Wings handily beat AIM in non-conference play.
