Presenting the 2016 Daily Local News Boys’ Cross-Country Teams

In addition to Daily Local News Boys’ Cross-Country Runner of the Year Spencer Smucker (click here to read the story on Spencer Smucker), the 2016 Daily Local News Boys’ Cross-Country Teams are as follows:

FIRST TEAM
Peter Borger, Malvern Prep – The Inter-Ac individual champion and league MVP, Borger finished third at the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Championships, and was undefeated in dual meets this fall.
Jake O’Neill, Downingtown West – The senior and first team All Ches-Mont League runner had a strong run in the postseason, placing 17th at the PIAA championships with a time of 16:24.
Austin Maxwell, Kennett – The senior and first team All Ches-Mont League runner was strong throughout the postseason, placing third at the Ches-Mont Championships, 12th at districts and 35th at states.
Josh Hoey, Bishop Shanahan – The junior, a first team All-Ches-Mont League runner, finished first at the Ches-Mont Championships with a clocking of 16:24, and placed 17th at districts (15:53).
