Radnor Boys Crew Club opens fall racing season
The Radnor Boys Crew Club opened their fall racing season Sunday at the Head of the Christina in Wilmington. Radnor had four boats competing in the annual event, which attracted 250 entries from over 50 clubs.
The Varsity 4+, comprised of Noah Morris, Matt Palmer, Zach Taylor, Milo Wilton and coxswain Noah Pepper, finished seventh out of 17 boats with a time of 14:47.
The JV 4, which included Jack Boudreau, Jake Craig, Alistair Douglas, Andrew Davis and coxswain John Talucci, finished the 2.75 mile head race seventh in their category.
Afternoon racing consisted of the JV 8+ composed of Jack Boudreau, Ryan Conklyn, Will Vaughn, Braeden Meandro, Patrick Kaper, Stuart O’Riordan, Tommy Ciatto, Andrew Davis and coxswain Zahi Shalev finishing in the middle of the pack with a time of 15:27.
The final boat competing, the Varsity 8+, comprised Mike Fitzpatrick, Chetin Atillasoy, Brett Lyons, Greg NcNicolas, Sam Bupp, Willem McGee, Aidan Donnelly, Matt Kellet and coxswain Bela Hain finished ninth out of 19 boats.
Radnor takes to the water next at the Navy Day Regatta in Philadelphia Oct. 15.
