DLN All-Area Girls Lacrosse Teams
First Team
Attack
Alyssa Manley, Jr., Bishop Shanahan
Manley was the driving force behind the Shanahan attack this season, setting a school record with 89 goals. Earning All Ches-Mont first team honors, Manley helped lead the Eagles to their first state playoff appearance and win in school history, reaching the PIAA quarterfinals. She has 163 goals in her career.
Linnea Hughes, Sr., Great Valley
Hughes capped a stellar career for the Patriots earning All Ches-Mont first team honors, finishing with 65 goals and 15 assists this season. She has totaled 184 goals over the past three years. Hughes earned U.S. Lacrosse All-American honors for the Philly region and is bound for James Madison in the fall.
Ashlyn Smith, Sr., Great Valley
Smith was one of the top finishers on the attack for the Patriots this year as she scored 44 goals and tallied 26 assists. She also earned All Ches-Mont first team honors. Smith has scored 90 goals over the past two seasons.
Midfield
Tori Barretta, Jr., Downingtown East
Having a season for the ages at Downingtown East, Baretta rewrote the record books with a Ches-Mont and area high 114 goals (a school record). Barretta earned All Ches-Mont first team honors in addition to being a U.S. Lacrosse All-American for the Philly region. She helped lead Downingtown East to its first Ches-Mont title since 2011, snapping Great valley’s 55-game winning streak. Barretta has 241 goals in her career, 59 behind Nicole Barretta’s (sister) school record of 300.
Sondra Dickey, Sr., Conestoga
One of the senior leaders of Conestoga’s state title team, the 2015 Daily Local News Player of the Year had another outstanding season for the Pioneers. Dickey finished with 72 goals and 27 assists as Conestoga set a school record with 24 wins. She earned All-Central League first team accolades along with U.S. Lacrosse All-American honors for the Philly region. Dickey is heading to Lehigh in the fall.
Liz Scott, Jr., Conestoga
Scott had another outstanding season as she helped lead Conestoga to its first state title, finishing with 53 goals and 13 assists. She also earned All-Central League first team honors along with a selection as a U.S. Lacrosse All-American for the Philly region. Scott has 99 goals over the last two years and has a verbal to Loyola (Md.).
Olivia Muscella, Jr., Great Valley
Muscella had another dominant season for the Patriots, finishing with 66 goals and six assists to earn All Ches-Mont first team honors. She also earned U.S. Lacrosse All-American honors for the Philly region. Muscella has 167 goals in her career heading into her senior season and has given a verbal to the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
Erin Garvey, So., Unionville
Garvey was superb in leading the Indians to the District 1 quarterfinals, finishing with 71 goals (fifth in the area). She earned All Ches-Mont first team honors and has crossed the 100-goal mark in her career, having 103 after two seasons.
Defense
Sydney Comber, Sr., Downingtown East
Comber became a stalwart on a Downingtown East defense that allowed 10 goals or less in 13 of 19 games this year, including just twice in the Cougars 13-game winning streak en route to the Ches-Mont title. She earned All-Ches-Mont first team honors.
Erin O’Donnell, Jr., Bishop Shanahan
O’Donnell was one of the main factors in the resurgence of Bishop Shanahan’s defense as the Eagles reached and won a state playoff game for the first time. Shanahan allowed 10 goals or less in 17 straight games, including in each win during their school record 16-game win streak. O’Donnell earned All Ches-Mont first team honors and has given a verbal to Iona.
Heather Camden, Sr., Downingtown West
Camden was one of the top defenders in the Ches-Mont this season earning All Ches-Mont first team honors. She also was a U.S. Lacrosse Academic All-American with a 4.24 GPA. West allowed 10 goals or less nine times in 17 games this season.

Jules Horning, Sr., Conestoga
Horning made big saves throughout Conestoga’s state postseason run en route to the state title as she finished with 153 saves on the year. Despite earning All-Central League second team honors, Horning was dominant in the state playoffs, allowing just 27 goals in four games. Horning allowed just 5.7 goals per game for the year.
