Garnet Valley’s Moore named Central League MVP
Garnet Valley’s run to a share of a second straight Central League title had plenty to do with Matt Moore’s efforts, never more so than in Tuesday’s 15-14 overtime win over Strath Haven to clinch a piece of the three-way title. That season has seen the junior attackman awarded the Jack Wilson Central League MVP award by league coaches.
Nine teams provided the 15 players on the first team, led by three from Springfield. Jef Hewlings, who piloted Strath Haven to a share of its first Central League, earned coach of the year honors. Below are the full first and second teamers plus honorable mentions.
