Perkiomen School captures Tri-County League Championship

The Panthers’ sweep through the doubles bracket proved the difference.

Perkiomen School’s Roger Yu/Chris Hawk made easy way on their way to a top finish in the first doubles while Andy You/Young Lu cruised to the top place in the second doubles as the Panthers edged Barrack Hebrew Academy 3-2 for the boys tennis Tri-County League Championship.

Yu/Hawk captured first with a 6-2, 7-5 decision over Barrack’s Ari Nahmani/Ethan Cramer. You/Lu captured first with a quick 6-0, 6-2 win against Pehlps’ Neville Smith/Henry Qian.

Michael Tsoi was Perk’s lone singles champion, taking first honors in No. 2 singles after downing Phelps’ Carlos Quiros 6-3, 6-4 in the finals. No. 1 Michael Pulcini fell to Barrack’s Alec Cohen 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 in the final.
