Strath Haven breaks out the bats in win over Academy Park

Strath Haven exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the fifth inning as the Panthers thumped Academy Park, 9-3.

Leading the hit barrage was Sophia Bolinger, who was 3 for 4. Winning pitcher Malia Calciano homered and Emily Lesher went 2 for 3 with three RBIs for the Panthers.

Jade Armstrong and Kayla Payne both knocked in runs for the Knights, who churned out 11 hits.

Christian Academy 12, Sacred Heart 1 >> Carli Sitkowski’s grand slam in the fifth inning broke the game open for the Crusaders (6-1), who banged out 15 hits. Grace Gormley went yard twice with three RBIs, and winning pitcher Carly Ryle added a double.
