Spring-Ford’s Pascual, PV’s Pain on course for finals rematch at PAC Singles Tournament
Two-time Pioneer Athletic Conference singles champion Patrick Pascual, of Spring-Ford, eased into the semifinals Thursday on Day 1 of the PAC-10 Singles Tournament at Perkiomen Valley High School.
Pascual, the No. 1 seed, is joined by the Perkiomen Valley duo of Luke Pain, the No. 2 seed and last year’s finalist, and Shaan Kawalramani (No. 5) and Methacton’s Nick Simeone (No. 3) in the semifinals.
All four were straight-set winners in both matches, Simeone’s 6-2, 6-2 win over Spring-Ford Nick Griswold the most competitive of the quarterfinals.
The tournament resumes Saturday morning at Perkiomen Valley at 9 a.m. for the semifinals and the final to follow.
