Radnor tennis team downs Downingtown East
The Radnor High School boys’ tennis team defeated Downingtown East, 6-1, Friday, winning all matches except first singles. At second singles, Josh Taylor defeated Matt Schwartz, 6-1, 6-1; at third singles, Brad Burton defeated Dylan Dunkelberger, 6-4, 6-2; at first doubles, Ethan Lee and Jonathan Davis defeated Jay Pendyala and Luc DeCecco, 6-4, 7-5; at second doubles, Robert Frigerio and Tom Forte defeated Pranav Ranganathan and Shubhankar Sachdev, 7-5 , 7-5; at third doubles, Eren Ozer and Jason Nachman defeated Eric Marsilio and Chanpreet Singh, 6-7, 6-2, 10-8; and at fourth doubles, Luigi Giacomucci and Colton Markowitz defeated Justin Song and Kevin Ly, 6-4, 6-1.
One day earlier, Radnor defeated Harriton, 6-1. Radnor won all the singles matches. At first singles, Will Frigerio defeated Isaac Goldenberg, 6-1, 6-1; at second singles, Josh Taylor defeated Esteban Bermudez, 6-0, 6-3; and at third singles, Brad Burton defeated Jake Stein, 6-2, 6-1. At first doubles, Harriton’s Will Marks and David Naftulin defeated Ethan Lee and Colton Markowitz, 6-3, 6-1; then Radnor won the remaining doubles matches. At second doubles, Noah Offenkrantz and Drew Harrington defeated Andrew Kofsky and Samarth Gowda, 7-5, 6-4; at third doubles, Robert Frigerio and Tom Forte defeated Bradley Koziol and Bruce Sacchetta, 6-4, 6-3; and at fourth doubles, Eren Ozer and Patrick Farren defeated Jake Smolenski and Kyle Koziol, 6-7, 6-2, 10-8.

Conestoga defeated Strath Haven, 4-3, Friday. Leading off in first singles, Conestoga’s Nick Ruth won a crucial comeback against Strath Haven’s Xandy Hammit 1-6, 6-4, 6-4. CHS’s Cahlin Pragata had a decisive victory at second singles against Clay Galeski 6-1, 6-0. Conestoga’s first doubles team of Max Howarth and Alex Moon defeated SH’s George Steinke and Fin L’Armand 6-0, 6-1. The Pioneers’ fourth doubles team of Jack. Arnold and Duncan Ellis defeated SH’s Justin Snyder and Sasha Reiger 6-1, 6-0.
Haverford School defeated Haddonfield, 6-1, Thursday, winning all but third doubles. Ford winners included John Walsh (first singles), Will McDevitt (second singles), Connor Lees (third singles), the first doubles duo of Drew Clark and Benji Bacharach, the second doubles pair of Andrew Clark and Luke Egan, and the fourth doubles team of Julius Golz and Peter Merhige.
Lower Merion defeated Marple-Newtown, 7-0, Thursday. At first singles, Matt Chen defeated Rob Kauffman 6-0, 6-0; at second singles, Thibault Vernier defeated Eli Caldwell 6-0, 6-0; and at third singles, Sean Attebery defeated Sahil Banderi 6-0, 6-0. At first doubles, Will Rieke and Lucas Kreuzer defeated Josh Starr and Kristi Zogo 6-1, 6-0; at second doubles, Omosessan Adebamgbe and Aseda Adebamgbe defeated Kevin Hau and Max Miller 6-2, 6-1; at third doubles, Harrison Axelrod and Matteo Favaro defeated Tom Tanahil and Jonathan Nobel 7-5, 6-1; and at fourth doubles, Max Serota and Aaron Rosenzweig defeated Min Lee and Bowen Solander 6-0, 6-0.

At first doubles, Simon Sheintoch and Jordan Robinson defeated Zander Prokop and Daniel Esparragoza 6-0, 6-0; at second doubles, Aseda Adebamgbe and Harrison Axelrod defeated Gave Frigiola and Rob Evenden 6-0, 6-1; at third doubles, Aaron Rosenzweig and Max Serota defeated Billy Hugget and Sean O’Connor 6-0,6-0; and at fourth doubles, Eric Bell and Matteo Favaro defeated Will Flounders and Sam Kelk 6-1, 6-0.
Malvern Prep (2-3) lost to West Chester Rustin, 6-1, Thursday. The highlight of the day for Malvern prep was at first doubles, where Nick Elia and Brendan Mullen won, 6-3, 7-6.
