Mercury-Area Softball Roundup: Pottsgrove holds off Boyertown; Phoenixville and Perk Valley earn wins

Pottsgrove 4, Boyertown 3 >> The Falcons were aided by a two-hit, two-run performance from Gabi Ermish at the plate before she sealed the deal in the circle for a one-run victory over the Bears. Jenna Trythall added two hits and an RBI in the win with Rachel Cherubini, Cori Dickinson and Shauna Maggio each contributing an RBI in the win as the Falcons fought off a Boyertown comeback in the bottom of the seventh.
Veronica Maryanski had a double, a triple and three RBI in the loss that saw the Bears put two runs up in the bottom of the seventh before failing to get the tying run home from third.

Spring-Ford 8, Owen J. Roberts 6 >> The Rams struck for five in the sixth inning to come away with comeback victory over the struggling Wildcats.
Megan Kern hit her second home run in as many games and finished with two hits, three RBI and three runs scored in the victory. Maggie McConney and Abby Files each contributed three hits with Jess Della Guardia adding two hits. Sam Lindsay had two RBI in the victory.
OJR was led offensively by Darby Stuart (three RBI), Alissa Vining (two hits, two RBI) and Camryn Glenn (two hits).

Perkiomen Valley 6, Upper Perkiomen 1 >> Kelsey Impink and Noelle McCullough each drove in a pair of runs to lift the Vikings to a PAC-10 win over the Tribe.
Impink and Ashley Bangert each knocked a double in the win, while Emily Oltman took the win in the circle going the full seven innings and limiting UP to one run on four hits. Ana Bruni posted two hits out of the leadoff spot while Jordan Sell scored two runs. Taylor Lindsay took the loss for Upper Perk, going all six innings while allowing six runs (five earned) on 10 hits. She also posted an RBI-double.

Phoenixville 13, Pottstown 0 >> Jess Eldridge threw three clean innings and finished with an RBI-triple and two runs scored as the Phantoms no-hit the Trojans in a PAC-10 tilt.
Susan Duncan pitched the final two innings where she posted four strikeouts and a walk. Lainey Michaud went 2-for-2 with four RBI while Miranda McMahon had two hits and two runs scored. Jess Anthony scored twice and notched a double in the win.

Daniel Boone 8, Twin Valley 1 >> Heather Hall pitched all seven innings striking out five as the Blazers utilized key hits from Cara Shackleford, Arianna Weller and Rachel Woomer to top Twin Valley in a cross-divisional contest. Great defense by Gina Galm in the sixth sealed the victory for Daniel Boone.

Perkiomen School 15, Mercy Vocational 0 >> The Panthers poured in 12 runs in the first inning en route to a three-inning, Tri-County League rout of Mercy Vocational.
Lena Felix notched three doubles on the afternoon, knocking two runs in and scoring three times while Carri Yeager finished 3-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a run scored. Juliane Haussmann went 2-2/3 in the circle, limiting the visitors to no hits with four strikeouts and a walk.
