Strath Haven pushes win streak to 62
Claire Van Duyne had a unique double as Strath Haven topped Lower Merion (102-48), Radnor (136-14) and Springfield (148-1) to extend its Central League winning streak to 62. Van Duyne led off the winning 4 x 800 and also was first in the pole vault. Teammate Maura Gibbs took first in the long and triple jumps.
The other scores were: Lower Merion 116, Radnor 34; Lower Merion 130, Springfield 14; and Radnor 100, Springfield 31.
In the Del Val League:
Interboro 97, Chichester 38 >> Benedicta Aneyaw captured all three throwing events to pace the Bucs. Eden Long won the 1,600 and 3,200 and was a member of the winning 4 x 800-meter relay team.
Chi’s Nierra Berry recorded her best time in the 300 hurdles (47.0 seconds) while also winning the 400. Angelica Corrales turned in her best time (16.5) to win the 100 hurdles.
In the Inter-Ac League
Notre Dame gains split >> Mikayla Schneider tied for first in the 100 as the Irish topped Germantown Academy (71-54) and fell to Springside Chestnut Hill Academy (82-44). Notre Dame also won the 4 x 100 relay.
