McDevitt, Lees put Haverford School on right track

Will McDevitt and Connor Lees handled their singles assignments with aplomb, winning in straight sets, as The Haverford School downed Lawrenceville School (N.J.), 5-2.

In doubles action, the No. 1 tandem of Drew Clark and Benji Bacharach were successful, 6-3, 6-2. Third doubles Niklas Golz and Grayson Potter battled back from a deficit to win 6-7, 6-4, 6-0.

In the Del Val League:

Chichester 5, Chester 0 >> Top singles player John Riemers picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win over Chester’s Quameer Jones. John Coleman and Adrian Riemers rolled in straight sets.

Academy Park 4, Glen Mills 1 >> Duwaine Jenkins and Rodney Gilliard won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, respectively, for the Knights. Shane Wallace secured a No. 3 singles victory for the Battlin’ Bulls.
