PAC-10 Girls Lax: Upper Perk’s Rynn scores her 100th goal
A milestone goal was among the five Morgan Rynn netted for the Upper Perkiomen girls lacrosse team Friday.
Rynn reached the 100-goal mark for her scholastic career in leading the Indians’ 17-0 roll over Pottstown.
Behind Rynn, Hope Flack had four goals. Alyssa Long (one assist) and Kenzie Gebhardt added two apiece and Michaela Swenk (two assists), Erika Boyer, Kathryn Lehman and Lauren Weeks had solo tallies.
Regan McComb contributed 14-save shutout goaltending to the UP cause. Her Pottstown counterpart, Jordan Almonte, turned away five shots.
Owen J. Roberts 16, Boyertown 3 >> Kerry Huzzard and Maddie Gebert each tallied six goals apiece in a PAC-10 rout of Boyertown.
Huzzard added an assist while Sophia Murray scored twice and Anna Dempsey (two assists) and Frankie Carroll (assist) each scored one goal. Madison Siejk, Sydney Fox and Hailey Heimbach each scored for Boyertown.
Perkiomen Valley 9, Spring-Ford 6 >> Christie Balestra netted a game-high five goals to help the Vikings top the Rams in PAC-10 play.
Camryn Jones and Cassie Marte both scored twice to lead Spring-Ford, which got single goals from Olivia Yeagle and Anja Sweeney along with 15-save goaltending from Kamille Ward.
Wyomissing 17, Daniel Boone 5 >> The Blazers didn’t have an answer for Joanna Helm and Corinne Lanio, who accounted for 12 of the Spartans’ goals in this Berks Conference matchup.
Helm led the way with eight points (six goals, two assists) while Lanio added a hat trick and an assist for Wyomissing while Sydney Lentz, Jolie Stallone and Leah McAvoy each scored twice. Ashley Bonetz led Daniel Boone with two goals and an assist while Kayla Pogash nedded two goals. Mackenzie Witzel scored once in the loss.
George School 16, Perkiomen School 12 >> Stephanie Falcone’s six-goal showing was the highlight for the Panthers in their non-league loss to George School.
Hannah Chiesa chipped in with another four goals for Perkiomen.
