Head coach: Amy Short, seventh season.
Last year’s record: 9-4 PAC-10, 13-6 overall.
Players to watch: Seniors: Brianna Cirino (midfield). Juniors: Lauren Mensch (defense), Molly McMahon (defense), Camryn Jones (midfield), Alyssa Conway (defense), Shannon Reape (defense), Kamille Ward (goalie).
Outlook: Coming off a strong showing last season, the Rams will look to move on without top players Kat Connelly (Towson), Emily Coyne (Penn State) and Sam Walters (UMass), all lost to graduation. Cirino and Jones will play crucial roles for Spring-Ford’s offense, accounting for a combined 66 goals last season. Short has plenty of confidence going into the season with a junior-laden roster. “We have a lot of returning talent, plus new, young players to add to the competitiveness of each practice,” she said. “The girls are working hard to compete at a high level and we are taking each day as a new challenge.”
