Wissahickon wins Spring-Ford tennis tournament

Wissahickon emerged victorious with a 3-0 record, taking home the Spring-Ford Tournament title Saturday afternoon.

Andrew Tran and Ben Wolfe shined in their singles matches against Spring-Ford, Tran topping Patrick Pascual 3-6, 6-4, 10-4 at first singles before Wolfe topped Nick Griswold 6-0, 6-1 at second singles en route to a 5-0 victory.

Wissahickon topped Downingtown East 4-1 in the noon match before closing out the day with a 5-0 victory over Manheim Central.

Downingtown East went 2-1, topping Spring-Ford 3-2 in their last match.

Spring-Ford picked up a victory against Manheim Central in the noon match. Pascual topped Galen Fitzkee at first singles 6-1, 3-6, 10-4 while Nick Griswold and TJ Cruickshank both defeated their opponents in straight sets.
