Long-time Haverford School wrestling coach Kennett honored

Haverford – More than 100 well-wishers – current wrestlers, former wrestlers, alumni, family, and friends – gathered to honor Bruce Kennett as he retires after 21 years of coaching Haverford School wrestling. After opening remarks by Haverford School Athletic Director John Nostrant recognizing Kennett’s career achievements and dedication to The Haverford School, Kennett addressed the crowd, saying it was never about wins and losses for him but rather the transformative effect of wrestling and mentoring young boys into becoming men. The reception was held Feb. 5 following the Fords’ final Inter-Ac meet of the season, a 54-18 victory over Episcopal Academy.
