Episcopal’s Owsiany takes Inter-Ac diving title
There was no question as to Andrew Owsiany’s brilliance Monday.
The Episcopal Academy senior accumulated a stellar score of 343.85 points to win the Inter-Ac Diving Championships.
Owsiany was well clear of the silver medalist, Haverford School’s Alec Tyminsky, who scored 235.55. Third was Episcopal’s Gossen Yang, who edged teammate Vlad Puskovitch by a tenth of a point with a score of 211.90. Well back in fifth was Haverford School’s Brannon Appiciafuoco.
EA’s Maia Golub fell just shy of the title in a crowded girls competition, settling for second with a score of 242.00 to GA’s Alaina Schulman (248.50). In fourth was EA’s Wren Sablich at 232.80, the last of the upper echelon. Rachel Barber of Episcopal was sixth (186.35), while eighth-place Naomi Paradise led Agnes Irwin.
