Marple Newtown swims past Upper Darby
Dylan Keer, Johnny Truax and Ron Feinberg all earned victories in two individual events as Marple Newtown downed Upper Darby in Central League action, 98-87.
Keer bested the competition in the 200 free and 100 backstroke, Truax touched the wall first in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke, and Feinberg won the 50 and 100 freestyle races..
Jack McConnell (500 free) accounted for Upper Darby’s only win in the individual events.
Conestoga 100.5, Ridley 85.5 >> Donnie Taziole (200 freestyle) and Chad Wadworth (110 backstroke) notched first-place finishes for the Green Raiders.
Gene Gibbons gained a top score of 220.45 in diving action.
Girls Swimming
Tara McCloskey swam to victory in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke, helping Marple Newtown to a 102-81 Central League decision over Upper Darby.
Chloe Lam and Madison Weir were double-winners for the Royals. Lam took first place in the 100 backstroke and 50 freestyle, while Weir was triumphant in the 100 free and 200 free.

Rudy claimed top honors in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke while anchoring the team’s winning 200 free relay. Wadsworth led off the free relay and touched the wall first in a pair of individual races (100 free and 100 backstroke).
Shannon Glacken triumphed in the diving event with a score of 218.00.
