Exeter, Wilson neck and neck after Day 1 of BCIAA Individual Championships
Exeter and Wilson were within one point atop the team standings after Day 1 of the BCIAA Individual Wrestling Championships, held at Reading High School.
Each teams respective top seeds made their way into Saturday’s semifinals. For Exeter, Austin Desanto (126), Brett Kulp (132), James Harkness (138) and Tyler Bagoly (160) eased into the last four. For Wilson, Brandon Connor (106) and Adam Brown (170) followed suit.
Other No. 1 seeds into the semifinals were: Twin Valley ‘s Mason Bennett (113), Wyomissing’s Connor Yourkavitch (120), Governor Mifflin’s Zach Scheetz (145), Brandywine Heights’ Hunter Gimbor (152), Daniel Boone’s Brenden Valverde (182), Mifflin’s Dylan Harr (195), Boone’s Jesse Enck (220) and Wyomissing’s Robert Dunbar (285).
Saturday’s medal round is set for 5:30 p.m. at Reading.
