Upper Darby battles but falls to Conestoga in double-OT

Maurice Grier scored 15 points, and Troy Butler added 13 points, but Upper Darby couldn’t withstand 36 points from Conestoga’s Darryl Caldwell in a 68-67 loss in double-overtime.

Anthony McFall added 12 points, and Kahleel Henry added 10 for Upper Darby (4-8, 3-5 Central League).

Charlie Martin’s 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in the second overtime put the Pioneers up for good.

Also in the Central League:

Strath Haven 63, Radnor 51 >> Josh Singleton scored 22 points, and John Harrar added 15 as the low-post prowess kept Haven (11-2, 6-2) rolling.

Vernon Harper scored 13 points, and Vinnie Kelly added 12 for Radnor (8-5, 3-4).

Haverford 55, Garnet Valley 52 >> Jack Donaghy scored a game-high 20 points, and Connor Guilfoil canned three 3-pointers to tally 13 for the Fords (3-9, 2-5).

Andrew Louden led four Garnet Valley (7-4, 3-4) players with 17 points.

Penncrest 69, Springfield 29 >> Tyler Norwood scored 17 points, and Justin Ross and Mike Mallon added 10 each in the Lions’ rout.

Nick Fox led eight points with Springfield.

Harriton 61, Marple Newtown 57 >> Marcus Weathers scored 20 points, and Nick DiCamillo added 16 for the Tigers (1-11, 0-7), who outscored the Rams 30-15 in the fourth quarter but couldn’t close the gap.

In the Catholic League:

Bonner-Prendergast 63, Father Judge 54 >> Keith Washington scored 24 points, and Tyler Higgins added 20 as the Friars (7-4, 1-2) outscored Judge, 23-10, in the fourth quarter.

Archbishop Carroll 68, West Catholic 30 >> Ryan Daly scored 26 points to go with 11 rebounds as 12 Patriots recorded a point in a rout for Carroll (11-1, 3-0).

Roman Catholic 83, Cardinal O’Hara 39 >> Zakee Griffin scored 13 points, and Martin Osayi chipped in eight for the Lions.

In the lnter-Ac League:

Penn Charter 52, Episcopal Academy 36 >> Nick Alikakos scored 17 points, but the Churchmen (9-5, 0-1) got little else in dropping their league opener.

Germantown Academy 60, Haverford School 50 >> Kharon Randolph scored a game-high 24 points as the Fords (5-7, 0-1) hung tough.
