Washington’s poise at the line keeps Bonner-Prendergast unbeaten
Keith Washington took care of business at the line, going 9-for-12 from the stripe en route to 15 points and helping Bonner-Prendergast to a 51-42 nonleague win at Hatboro-Horsham.
Mike Mercanti scored 12 points, and John Hargraves posted a double-double of 11 points and 10 boards for Bonner-Prendie (3-0), which also got nine points and five assists from Christian Lane.
In other nonleague action:
Glen Mills 55, Strawberry Mansion 44 >> Myron Sanders nearly accumulated a double-double with his 20 points and nine rebounds, and Ewhnik Proctor scored 15 points in leading the Battlin’ Bulls (2-1) to the victory.
Hill School 60, Episcopal Academy 53 >> Nick Alikakos went off for another double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds, and Conner Delaney nailed four triples to finish with 18 points, but the Churchmen (3-1) couldn’t keep pace with the 10 3-pointers made by the hosts in being dealt their first loss of the season.
Solanco 70, Sun Valley 57 >> Ryan Hall’s 12 points led five Vanguards in double-figures, but they fell shy of matching the hosts in a game late Tuesday night.
Kyle Ryan and Vinny DeAngelo scored 11 points apiece for Sun Valley (1-2).
