Marple Newtown’s Dyson tabbed as Central League MVP
The two-man show of Hunter Dyson and George Lambritsios led Marple Newtown all season long, taking them to a home game in the District One Class AAA tournament and second place in the Central League in one of the program’s most successful campaigns. Dyson was the beating heart of that duo, finishing with 18 goals and nine assists. For his productivity, he earned distinction as the Central League MVP, as voted by league coaches.
Lambritsios also found a spot on the All-Central team. Springfield’s Nick Jannelli, with 20 goals and five assists, finished as the runner-up. He is joined on the All-Central team by teammate Ryan Straube.
Four of the 13 first-team selections went to Conestoga, which finished the regular-season 17-0 and ran away with the league title. Rounding out the first-team picks from Delco are Penncrest’s Sam Brown, Radnor’s Alex Egg-Krings and Strath Haven’s Alex Maillet.
