Harriton’s Nina Hoog earns fourth-place medal at district singles
Harriton’s Nina Hoog was awarded a medal for fourth place in District I singles competition Wednesday, advancing to the PIAA state championships Nov. 6-7 in Hershey.
Hoog lost the third-place match to Peyton Bradley of Downingtown West, but won praise from Harriton girls’ tennis head coach David Broida.
“Congratulations to Nina on a great on-court accomplishment, and for representing the Harriton team in Hershey,” said Broida. “Nina lost to Peyton today, but not before playing a fantastic match against a stronger and older (junior) player. Nina’s long rallies, right up to the end of the match, are a testament to her skills and tenacious playing. It was a great effort by Nina.”
