Conestoga, Malvern, Haverford in top 10 in SE Pa. boys soccer coaches poll
Three Main Line high school boys’ soccer squads – Conestoga (third place), Malvern Prep (ninth) and Haverford School (10th) were in the top 10 teams ranked in the Southeast Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association poll as of Oct. 26.
The Top 20 in the boys’ poll was as follows, in descending order: Central Bucks East (18-0, first place), Father Judge (18-0, second), Conestoga (16-0-1, third), Roman Catholic (14-1-2, fourth), West Chester Henderson (13-3, fifth), Pennsbury (12-4-2, sixth), Abington (14-4, seventh), Springfield Delco (13-3-2, eighth), Malvern Prep (11-1-2, ninth), Haverford School (12-3, 10th), North Penn (12-4-2, 11th), Boyertown (14-3-2, 12th), Owen J Roberts (15-4-1, 13th), Downingtown West (12-4-2, 14th), Marple Newtown (14-4, 15th), Council Rock North (11-4-2, 16th), Upper Dublin (11-4, 17th), Penn Charter (9-2-2, 18th), Plymouth Whitemarsh (12-3-2, 19th) and La Salle (12-4-1, 20th).
The Top 10 in the girls’ poll was as follows, in descending order: Central Bucks East (17-0-1, first), Pennsbury (17-1, second), Spring-Ford (14-2-2, third), Boyertown (14-1-1, fourth), West Chester Rustin (16-2, fifth), West Chester Henderson (15-3, sixth), Owen J. Roberts (13-5, seventh), Neshaminy (12-5-1, eighth), Downingtown West (12-5, ninth) and Pennridge (12-4-2, 10th).
