TCA earns playoff berth in first year in PIAA

The Christian Academy girls soccer team did not have to wait long to find out what the District One Tournament is all about. The Crusaders earned a berth in the Class A field in their first year as a member of the PIAA. TCA received the No. 2 seed and a chance to host No. 3 New Hope-Solebury in the semifinal Nov. 2. One team advances to states.

The girls Class AAA first round is studded with a pair of All-Delaware County tussles. No. 7 Strath Haven hosts No. 26 Haverford Tuesday, while No. 18 Penncrest travels to No. 15 Radnor. Continuing the theme of Garnet Valley edging into the postseason, the Jaguar girls nabbed the 28th and final seed; they’re bound for No. 5 Boyertown.
District One gets five representatives in the PIAA Class AAA Tournament.
