Methacton claims top seed in PAC-10 Final Four
Methacton claimed the number one seed in the PAC-10 playoffs on Tuesday at Gilbertsville Golf Club.
With the Warriors ending the regular season in a three-way tie with Owen J. Roberts and Spring-Ford, the top three met to determine their place in the PAC-10 Final Four while Pope John Paul II had claimed the no. 4 seed.
The Warriors edged the field, shooting a 186, followed by Owen J. Roberts (190) and Spring-Ford (191).
Caleb Ryan and Gunnar Kale each carded a 36 for Methacton while Kyle Vance followed with a 37. Dan Rieger shot a 38 followed by Connor McCaffrey at 39.
OJR’s Tommy Opitz shot a team-low 36 for the Wildcats followed by Ryan Glenn (37) along with Maddie Sager, Andrew O’Brien and Matt Folk, who each shot 39.
Ben Pochet shot a day-low 34, but was followed by Jack Straub (38), Connor Boham and Chase Armour at 39 and Jon Lumley (41).
As a result, Methacton will host Pope John Paul II today at Skippack Golf Club. Owen J. Roberts will host Spring-Ford at Kimberton Golf Club.
Team Finals will take place at Gilbertsville Golf Club Thursday.
