Lederer paced Penncrest to third at Salesianum
Sophomore Avery Lederer placed third to help Penncrest finish third in the boys large school race at the Salesianum Invitational. Lederer covered the 5,000-meter course in 17 minutes, 26.93 seconds. Teammates Andrew Kleiman and Ryan McAvoy placed 25th and 26th, respectively.
Freshman Sanaiya Watts of Agnes Irwin took fifth in the girls championship race with a time of 20:58.90. Teammate Jess Crowley was ninth in 21:31.08.
Scales a winner >> Charlie Scales of The Haverford School cruised to victory in the boys championship race at the Westtown Invitational. Scales finished 25 seconds ahead of Coatesville Colin Mihalak. Jakob Jorgenson of Episcopal Acadmey took third, while teammate Elias Lindgren was sixth to help the Churchmen finish second in the team competition.
