Five Main Line squads in top 20 SE PA boys’ soccer squads
Five Main Line teams appeared in the top 20 high school boys’ soccer teams rated in the Sept. 27 Southeast Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association Polls.
The five Main Line teams are Conestoga (8-0, third place), followed by Haverford School (fifth place, 7-2), Lower Merion (ninth, 7-1-1), Malvern Prep (13th, 6-0-1) and Shipley (20th, 4-3).
The top 20 high school boys’ soccer teams in the Sept. 27 poll are, in descending order, Father Judge (9-0), Central Buck East (9-0), Conestoga (8-0), Roman Catholic (7-0-1), Haverford School (7-2), North Penn (6-1-1), West Chester Henderson (8-2), Central Buck West (7-2), Lower Merion (7-1-1), Council Rock North (5-0-2), Pennsbury (5-1-1), Owen J Roberts (7-2), Malvern Prep (6-0-1), Plymouth Whitemarsh (6-1-1), Central Bucks South (6-2), Wissahickon (5-2), Archbishop Wood (5-1), Unionville (7-2), Penn Charter (6-1-1) and Shipley (4-3).
The top 10 high school girls’ soccer teams in the Sept. 27 poll are, in descending order, Central Bucks East (7-0), Pennsbury (8-0), Spring Ford (9-0-1), Archbishop Ryan (8-0-1), Boyertown (8-1), Penn Charter (4-0), Downingtown West (6-1), Souderton (7-1-1), Pennridge (5-2-1) and West Chester Henderson (7-1).
