Lower Merion tennis team edges Wissahickon

The Lower Merion High School girls’ tennis team edged Wissahickon, 4-3, Thursday. At first singles, LM’s Simone Burde defeated Julie Friedenberg 6-2, 6-1; at second singles, Wissahickon’s Jenny Landells defeated Neve Brennan 5-7, 7-5, (11-9); and at third singles, Wissahickon’s Samantha Sullivan defeated Cristina Bermudez 6-1,6-3.
At first doubles, LM’s Allie Rauch and Kloe Rosenberg defeated Sasha Iakimenko and Lauren Kang 6-4,4-6, (10-5); at second doubles, LM’s Haley Kofsky and Sarah Lipson defeated Erica Klein and Emily Richman 6-2,6-1; at third doubles, LM’s Chloe Spergel and Holly Yu defeated Susan You and Nicole Yang 6-2, 4-6, (10-4); and at fourth doubles, Wissahickon’s Nicole Klein and Christine Yang defeated Sarah Beller-Grossman and Jenna Mancuso 6-2,6-2.
