Springfield rolls behind Luchon, DiBernardi

Josh Luchon broke the 40 mark for the third time and Joe DiBernardi enjoyed the best round of his season to lead Springfield to a 209-228 victory over host Monsignor Bonner-Archbishop Prendergast in nonleague golf action Sunday.
Luchon put together a 6-over par round of 39 to pace the Cougars. DiBernardi had a birdie and a par to finish with a 44, his best round by five strokes, according to Springfield coach Jim Heller. Dillon Baun shot a 40 for the Cougars (3-1).
Joe Dougherty carded a 7-over par 40 to lead the Friars (2-2).
