Lower Merion edges West Chester East, 4-3

The Lower Merion High School girls’ tennis team edged West Chester East, 4-3, Thursday. At first singles, LM’s Simone Burde defeated Amanda Nguyen 7-5, 6-0; at second singles, LM’s Neve Brennan defeated Victoria Lawrence 6-0, 6-3; and at third singles, West Chester’s Amy Barrett defeated Kloe Rosenberg 4-6, 7-5, 6-0.
At first doubles, West Chester’s Emily Bergen and Jacki Terlizzi defeated Allie Rauch and Sarah Beller-Grossman 6-2, 6-0; at second doubles, LM’s Haley Kofsky and Sarah Lipson defeated Katie Peltier and Maddie Russell 6-2, 6-1; at third singles, LM’s Chloe Spergel and Holly Yu defeated Meghan Ward and Nicole Ruggerio 6-0, 6-1; and at fourth singles, West Chester’s Becky Logue and Kayla Siedlecki defeated Dena Behar and Effie Yi 4-6,6-4,(10-3) match tiebreak.
