Merion Mercy Academy tennis team improves to 2-0

The Merion Mercy Academy girls’ tennis team improved to 2-0 with a 7-0 win against Haverford High School Tuesday. At first singles, Lada Dzidic defeated Nellie O’Leary, 6-2, 6-3; at second singles, Ali Harvey defeated Maryane Wojtowicz, 6-1, 4-6, 7-5; and at third singles, Nina Dzidic defeated Autumn Francis, 6-1, 6-3. At first doubles, Kristin Kelley and Jenny Dooner defeated Jillian Burnstein and Katie Burhop, 6-6 (7-5), 6-4; at second doubles, Izzy Rosini and Sarah Laske defeated Sloan Longo and Maura White, 6-2, 6-3; at third doubles, Julie D’Agostino and Brittany Ott defeated Kelly Burke and Izzy Swantalc, 6-3, 6-2; and at fourth doubles, Colleen Boyle and Sumin Walker defeated Bridget Mallarky and Emma Burhop, 6-1, 6-0.
