Devon Prep pitcher Rohr commits to Scranton
Devon Prep senior pitcher Patrick Rohr has committed to play baseball for the University of Scranton beginning the fall of 2015. The righthander was named MVP of Devon Prep’s PIAA Class A state championship baseball team, and was the starting pitcher in the state final. He received first team all-state honors (PIAA Class A) and was named First Team BAL All League and First Team All Main Line Baseball.
Rohr finished the season last year with an 8-2 record and a 1.21 ERA, striking out 70 batters in 64 innings pitched. Currently he is 3-1 with a 2.50 ERA.
In addition to playing baseball, Rohr is a Distinguished Honor student and serves as Student Council President, as well as president of the school’s Christian Action Program (CAP) and Jazz Band. He is also a member of the National Honor Society, the Spanish National Honor Society, Campus Ministry, and the Pro-life Club. He plans to study business in college.
