First Team All-Area
Billy Beard, Jr., Malvern Prep
Beard helped the Friars finish with an undefeated record in Inter-Ac competition. In the Eastern Interscholastic Championships he finished first in the 100-yard freestyle, and second in the 100 butterfly.
Oliver Nguyen, Jr., Bishop Shanahan
Nguyen had an excellent junior season qualifying for two different events in the PIAA Class AA Championships. He took 13th in the 100 butterfly, and 17th in the 100 freestyle.
Mark Miller, Sr., Downingtown West
Miller was one of the bests in the area for the 500 freestyle. In the PIAA Class AAA Championships he took 12th place. He also made states in the 200-individual medley, where he finished 15th.
Brandon Fronczak, Sr., Malvern Prep
Fronczak was stellar for the Friars. His leadership was key in their successful season. In the Eastern Interscholastic Championships he took fifth in the 500 freestyle. He will continue swimming next year at Ohio State University.
John Libert, Jr., Kennett
Libert was the Blue Demons strongest swimmer. In the 100 butterfly he took 15th, and in the 100 backstroke he finished in 20th in the PIAA Class AAA Championships.
Tyler Cummings, Sr., West Chester Rustin
The senior finished in 17th place in the PIAA Class AAA Championships in the 100 butterfly. He was also a member of the 200-medley relay team who took 12th place in the District 1 Class AAA Championships.
Justin Carey, Jr., Avon Grove
Carey was a key piece in the Red Devils season. They finished third in the Ches-Mont League national Division. He also had two excellent races in the PIAA Class AAA Championships. He finished in 18th in the 100 backstroke and 25th in the 100 butterfly.
Cody Quienten, Sr., Downingtown East
Quienten had one of the best finishes in the area in the PIAA Class AAA Championships. He claimed 10th in the 100 freestyle.
RJ Hammond, Sr., Coatesville
Hammond was the driving force for the Red Raiders capturing their first Ches-Mont National championship since Perkiomen Valley joined the league. He won on their 200-medley relay team that took 10th in the District 1 Class AAA championships.
